When was the last time you rappelled down a 23 meter waterfall? Or had dolphins or whale sharks swim right up to your boat? Or climbed a majestic Matapalo tree? Went hiking in the rainforest? Or kayaking in the mangrove? You can do all that & MORE right here. You tell us what you want to do & then go play! While you play, we plan & make all the arrangements. You will not have to call taxis, arrange tours or do a thing after you tell us your desires. Listed below are some ideas of possible tours and activities. Some require advance reservations and others can be arranged spur of the moment after you arrive. So what do you want to do first?

Bike Rentals (Half Day-$5.00 p/p, Full Day-$10.00 p/p)

Bird Watching Tour (Half Day-$44.00 p/p, Full Day-$86.00 p/p)
Hike through the Bosque Rio Tigre (Half Day Tour) or Cabo Matapalo (Full Day Tour) and view a selection of over 370 different species of birds that live on the Osa Peninsula. Possible viewings include Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, Hawks, Tanagers, Honeycreepers, Trojons, Falcons, Herons, Woodpeckers, and Flycatchers. This tour begins at 6am.

Mangrove Kayak Tour ($29.00 p/p)
Explore the mangrove by kayak and discover all kinds of wildlife (monkeys, raccoons, liver otters, iguanas, lizards, crabs, crocodiles, snakes, butterflies, birds). Find yourself in the shade of 80 foot mangrove trees that are a host to so much biodiversity! After a quick stop to the beach, your tour continues along the Gulf with a chance to see dolphins.

Sunset Dolphin Kayak Tour ($29.00 p/p)
An unforgettable afternoon on the Golfo Dulce surrounded by nature and peace! Your bilingual tour-guide will talk to you about the biodiversity of the Gulf where you will see a variety of fish, ocean birds and majestic dolphins as well as the beautiful sunset. This tour is from 3pm-6pm.

Boat ride to Botanical Garden Tour ($58.00 p/p min 4 people)
-All days except Friday
Take a boat across the Gulf to a beautiful Botanical Garden that backs onto the Piedras Blancas National Forest. Here your guide will talk to you about a variety of local plants, orchids, trees, flowers, and spices that are so gorgeous your camera is a must! This tour is from 8am-11am.

Mountain Bike Riding Tour ($46.00 p/p)
Your guide will take you into lush vegetation where you will enjoy waterfalls, tropical forest, mountains, river crossings and exciting descents. While you ride there is a possibility of seeing monkeys, sloths, squirrels, toucans and scarlet macaws among many others. This tour is about three hours long.

Gold Mining Tour ($52.00 p/p)
Your day begins with a taxi ride to the town of Dos Brazos, an old mining community that held over 3000 gold miners before Corcovado National Park was created. Here the shoveling and panning begins. This is truly and adventure and whatever you find you can take home with you! You will love the cool water river as well as the spectacular waterfalls nearby.

Canopy Tour ($75.00 p/p)
Experience true adventure and increase your adrenaline by riding across the treetops of the rainforest over 1400 meters high. This tour includes a ride across 7 platforms and allows you to be at eyelevel with the birds, animals, giant trees and beautiful views of the Gulf.

Tree Climbing Tour ($55.00 p/p)
-Transportation not included
Scale the largest original jungle gym! You are top roped while climbing an enormous, user-friendly Strangler Fig (roughly 70 feet) to a viewing point that allows you to see the Golfo Dulce. Level of difficulty determined by the "root" you select. After exploring the lofty perch and view of the ocean, an exhilarating freefall swing brings you safely back to the Earth. This tour is 2-3 hours long.

Waterfall Rapelling Tour ($86.00 p/p)
Hike up and around a series of waterfalls nestled in lush rainforest and then dare to climb one of the most impressive waterfalls of the forest, located in Cabo Matapalo. The waterfall that you will rappel down is 23 meters and offers the most exciting adventure! If that does not get your heart beating then nothing will! You are sure to receive applause from the howler monkeys and toucans. This tour is 3 hours long.

ATV Tours ($20.00 p/p plus $95.00 or $129.00 for the guide)
Take the back trails through some of the most beautiful areas Costa Rica has to offer! Drive your own ATV down winding mountain trails completely surrounded by Primary and Secondary Rainforest. Traverse high mountain ridges with spectacular views, cross rivers, swim under waterfalls and explore vacant beaches. This tour is from 6am-9:15am, 9:30am-1:45pm, or 2pm-6:15pm. The 4 hour and 15 minute tour includes lunch.

Horseback-riding Tour ($50.00 p/p)
Ride on horseback through primary and secondary rainforest, where you will be able to appreciate beautiful views of the Golfo Dulce and experience a huge diversity of flora and fauna. This tour is three hours long and includes lunch at Rio Nuevo Lodge.

Night-time Snake Tour ($65.00 p/p)
This nighttime expedition allows you to enjoy a diversity of reptiles including snakes, frogs and toads. This tour is two hours long and includes dinner at Rio Nuevo Lodge.

Animal Wildlife Refuge and Snorkeling Tour ($70.00 p/p min 4 people)
This is a four hour tour of the Golfo Dulce which includes dolphin and whale spotting, and snorkeling with bright tropical fish in the Gulf's reefs. End your tour with a visit to the Sylvestre Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic for a tour of their property where you can play with the monkeys, feed the scarlet macaws and see other animals such as sloths and kinkajous that have been saved and rehabilitated on the Peninsula.

Finca Kobo Chocolate Tour ($30.00 p/p)

-Children 12 years and under receive a 50% discount
Take a visit and tour Finca Kobo where cocoa production is the main economic crop. They invite you to see how this marvelous system works on the ground! Your tour will explain the life cycle of the tree, the flowering, pollenization, fruiting and harvesting of the cocoa pods. This tour also includes sampling of their fruits, chocolate snacks, and a drink at the end of the day.

Massage ($50.00 p/p)
Your masseuse, Jutta, will come right to your doorstep to deliver your hour long massage. Have your private massage right in your cabin or have Jutta set up her table out in our tropical and tranquil gardens. Regardless of where your massage takes place, you will enjoy!

Trips to Corcovado National Park (prices vary depending on number of people and number of days)
